Thursday, June 14, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m, at the Arrow and Loon pub in Ottawa (corner of Bank and Fifth).
How much does it cost?
It’s free! So now you have no excuses. But we do give you the opportunity to donate at the door to help cover costs (suggested donation of $2).
Can anyone come, or do you have to be invited?
BOLO is completely open to the public. You don’t have to be a blogger or part of some special club. You just have be interested in hearing some really great writing, and maybe meeting a few cool people.
I want to read! How do I get selected?
Start by having a look at your blog posts from the past year (May 2011 through May 2012) and picking out the strongest one, one that really tells us who you are. We are looking for a wide variety of stories told with passion. Your post should be able to be read aloud in less than five minutes. Also, to qualify you will have had to have made a minimum of 10 blog posts over the past year (May 2011 through May 2012).
Then send that link to lynnturtlehead@gmail.com. For details on how we select the posts that will be read, please see the article All Guts All Glory. Please note that we will NOT be accepting any submissions for BOLO 2012 until after the date and location are announced, in early 2012.
Submissions are due on Monday, May 14 at the latest.
